Terms & Conditions


Service Description:

Customers can enroll through our Site or by calling our Customer Care Center. You enroll by entering your personal and billing information and selecting a pick up and delivery time.

We will pick up your bag and deliver your clean clothes:
  • In 48 hours for Hamperville@Work and for doorman buildings.
  • On the selected time and date (any time after 48 hours) for non-doorman customers.

Next day Service:

Next day service is done on best-effort basis. We will try everything we can to meet your next-day request; but because of the wide variation of issues relating to stains, fabric and many other technical issues, it could take the full 48 hours to complete your order. In this case we would waive the fee for the next-day service.


Wash & Fold Service:

Wash & fold service will be performed with the utmost care and with the highest cleaning standards. We also will follow your instructions if given regarding the washing and drying temperature. However, please note that we don't read the cleaning instruction labels of clothes submitted for wash & fold because of the low price we receive per item (an average garment will be priced at $0.50 since we charge per lbs). This means that we are not responsible for shrinkage or damage of any kind.

In addition, your clothes are washed, dried and folded separately from other customers. Therefore there is no chance of losing any items. Please note that we wash, dry and fold your clothes in a very strict and controlled environment and therefore we are not responsible for any lost items. Please empty all pockets as are not responsible for items you leave in the pockets that may get damaged or damage other items during the washing process.


Minimum pickup & minimum wash/fold:

Minimum pickup is $25 and minimum amount charged on a wash/fold order is $15 (when accompanied by dry cleaning).


Billing:

By signing up for the service on our website, you agree that we charge your credit card for the laundry services that we provide you.

For monthly subscribers, we will charge your credit card when you sign up and on every 1st of each month thereafter. You may request to stop or suspend the recurring billing process by sending an e-mail to our Customer Billing Center at info@hamperville.com or by calling our Customer Care Center.


Additional Charges:

Hamperville reserves the right to charge additional fee for items that cost more to clean. Note that blankets and comforters cost more to wash. The cost is determined based on the item size and it's because we must wash and dry separately from other garments.


Amounts over-due:

For charges that remain over-due for over 2 weeks, there is a $6 admin fee to be added to the original amount.


Cancellation:

If for any reason you decide to cancel your subscription, you can cancel by calling us at (877) 426-7379 or by sending an email to: info@hamperville.com . Any un-used balance from the past 12 months in your account will remain in your account to be used at your convenience. NO REFUNDS. If you cancel your subscription before 3 months of the start of the subscription, your pricing for the previous service will be adjusted to Pay-As-You-Go pricing and your credit card will be charged for the difference.


Introductory offer:

The discount applied to your 1st monthly charge is valid given that:
  • You keep your account for 3 months.
  • Use at least 85% of the value of your monthly plan.
Handling your garments:

Once we get to our cleaning plant we open your personal dry cleaning and wash & fold bags and itemize each garment. This process is recorded in digital video, which serves as proof of garments received. We keep video records for one month after the initial inventory date.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING your garments: If you are including in your hamper an item worth more than $1,000 retail price, please let us know before your scheduled pickup by sending an email to info@hamperville.com . We are not liable for loss or damages to garments worth more than $1,000 retail price if you fail to follow this policy.


Delivery:

We always strive to pick up and deliver on time. However, the safety of our employees, other motorists and pedestrians takes precedence. In cases of bad weather, traffic congestion or other occurrences beyond our control it may be necessary to make adjustments to our delivery schedule, which will cause us to suspend chosen delivery dates and times. In such case, a customer service representative may call or e-mail you to let you know the status of your delivery time.


Returns:

If you receive an item that we clean and you have any complaint, please let us know and we will happily re-clean and press these items and deliver back free of charge.


Stains:

Please keep in mind, that while we aim to remove all stains, some stains may never completely be removed. In particular this includes: Stains that are left on garments longer than 24 hours, failure to follow care instructions, further complicating a stain by using a home remedy such as water or soda, chemical damage from spillage of alcoholic beverages, medications, perfumes, after shaves, hair dyes, perspiration and shrinkage of garments due to improper washing techniques.


Damage and Loss Policy:

Although we are doing our best to prevent any damages to your garment, we cannot guarantee against color loss, bleeding or shrinkage of garments. In addition, we do not take responsibility for any deteriorated or flawed garments, which could result in small holes or tears. For any items deemed damaged, Hamperville may reimburse you by paying up to ten (10) times the charge for cleaning the item in which the damage occurred regardless of brand, price or condition of the garment.

Any damaged items must be reported to info@hamperville.com and inspected by Hamperville, within seven (7) days from date the damaged item was returned to you by Hamperville, through digital photos or in-person.

Lost: Any lost item must be reported within 7 days of the delivery of the garments to info@hamperville.com . All claims are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Items are considered lost twenty (20) days after the initial claim has been made. Any reimbursement for a dry-cleaned item deemed lost by Hamperville, in accordance with the International Fabricare Fair Claims Guide, shall be limited to ten (10) times the charge for treating the garment. Any wash and fold items deemed lost shall be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but in any case reimbursement for lost wash and fold items shall not exceed five (5) times the price of the weight of the wash and fold load. Hamperville shall not take responsibility for any loose items lost when submitted in a Hamperville bag, such as watches, jewelry, or cufflinks.

We are not responsible for any loss or damage due to handling by, storage with or delivery by your doorman, concierge or other authorized person, including, for instance, the erroneous delivery of your garment to a third party cleaner.

WE DO NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR DRY CLEAN ONLY ITEMS PLACED INSIDE WASH AND FOLD BAG. All dry clean only items must be separated from the wash and fold order. We will not be responsible for sorting dry clean items from wash and fold items. All items placed in the wash and fold bag will be laundered and folded. We will not be liable for damages to dry clean only items placed in wash and fold bags.


Garments with zippers:

Zippers behave unpredictably while cleaning. Although they should be fine 99% of the time, there is still a chance of a zipper problem. Hamperville cannot assume liability in this case since this is an inherent risk and not our fault or negligence.

We are not responsible for loose items in pockets or bundles of garments (i.e. jewelry, watches, and cash). We request that customers empty pockets prior to leaving items with us as we can not be held responsible for damage to your garments from items left in pockets (Lipstick, Gum, Pens, etc.)

For comforters and mattress pads: We will follow the cleaning instructions on the label. We are not responsible for any shrinkage caused by the cleaning process. We cannot guarantee the removal of all stains. If re-cleaning is necessary we will do so. We are not responsible for down shifting inside the item during the cleaning process.

If we determine that Hamperville.com is responsible for the loss of or damage to an item we will refund you the replacement value ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition.

If it is unclear who is responsible for the damage, Hamperville.com will have the garment analyzed at owner’s expense by an International Fabricare Institute garment analysis laboratory. Restitution will be made based upon the lab’s report. Our liability shall in no event exceed ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition.


Pricing:

Hamperville.com reserves the right to change prices at any time and is not responsible for typographical errors on the website related to pricing information.


Privacy Policy:

Hamperville.com takes privacy and data protection issues seriously. We have designed this Privacy Policy to explain how we handle personally identifiable information collected from merchants who register for services and submit information to Hamperville.com through the Internet.

Information Collection and Use

Hamperville.com collects personally identifiable information when you register for a Hamperville.com account, and when you use certain Hamperville.com products and services. Hamperville.com may also receive personally identifiable information from its resellers and other business partners.

When you register with Hamperville.com, we ask for your contact information (such as your name, street address and email address), as well as certain information pertaining to your business, along with billing information such as a bank account and/or credit card number.

In the course of processing a payment transaction, we typically receive from the merchant or financial institution information related to the transaction. This normally includes information about the payment that a consumer has furnished the merchant or financial institution in placing the order. If you use the Site from other locations, you are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws. Price and availability information is subject to change without notice.


Termination:

We reserve the right to terminate service without cause. Any subscription refunds are subject to 15% admin fees. This Agreement is effective upon your acceptance as set forth herein and shall continue in full force and effect until terminated. Hamperville.com may suspend or terminate this Agreement or any of the Hamperville.com Services or remove or disable access to any portion of the Hamperville.com Services at any time for any reason with or without notice to you. You may terminate this Agreement and your Hamperville.com Services at any time for any reason by delivering notice in the manner provided below, which termination will be effective the day notice is received or such later date specified in the notice. Hamperville.com reserves the right to collect fees and charges incurred before you have cancelled your Hamperville.com Services. In addition, you are responsible for any charges incurred to third-party vendors or content providers prior to your cancellation.


Notices:

Hamperville.com may give notice to you of a change in this Agreement, a change in the Hamperville.com Fee Schedule, and any other matter through a general posting on the Hamperville.com Site, by electronic mail, or by conventional mail to your address contained in the Customer Registration Database.


Amendment:

Hamperville.com may amend this Agreement at any time by posting the amended terms on our Site. By using this Site after any amendment, you agree to be bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to determine the then current Agreement to which you are bound.
